Delightfully crunchy fries with all of the cheesy, zesty goodness of your favorite nachos! I love them, my husband loves them, my kids love them. And all of your buddies at your game day party will love these super nacho fries!

My favorite part about the recipe for super nacho fries is that you really can’t mess it up. The process is incredibly simple and it is guaranteed to be full of flavor!

To get started, pick up a couple bags of McCain Extra Crispy Crinkle Fries from Walmart. These are my family’s personal preference, but they carry lots of other yummy options, like Seasoned Curly Fries and Craft Beer Battered Thin Cut Fries. Just check out the frozen section at your store to see the different kinds they have.

Walmart also has all of the other ingredients you need to create your super nacho fries so you’ll be able to conveniently pick up everything in one quick stop.

Once you get home, the fries will take just under 20 minutes to bake. The packaging directs you to flip them halfway through, but they can otherwise just hang out in the oven until they’re done.

While your fries are cooking, prep all of your toppings. Use this time to season and cook any meat that you use and make sure that all of your ingredients have enough flavor or spice. We like ground beef, refried black beans, salsa, guacamole, and cheese on our super nacho fries, but the possibilities are virtually endless.

After your fries are baked, go ahead and layer those toppings on! This dish is intended to be indulgent so don’t hesitate to be heavy-handed. When everything is piled on, pop your tray back into the oven until your cheese gets melty and gooey.

I am not a fan of sour cream, but I always have some nearby because everyone else likes a little dollop. Make sure to eat your fries hot!

Super Nacho Fries for Game Day
Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 450 degrees.
  2. Heat the olive oil in a pan or skillet over medium heat.
  3. Add your ground beef to the pan, breaking it up with a wooden spoon, and stir in the six spices. Once the meat is cooked, set it aside.
  4. When the oven is heated, pour your bags of McCain Extra Crispy Crinkle Fries onto two baking pans in one even layer. As directed on the package, bake the fries for 9 minutes, flip them, and bake for another 10 minutes.
  5. As your fries are baking, heat your refried beans in a small pot on medium-low. Use a fork or whisk to stir in .5 cup of salsa and .5 cup of cheese. Once your beans are smooth, turn off the heat and set it aside.
  6. After the fries are baked, put them all onto one pan and turn the oven down to 350 degrees.
  7. Time for toppings! Feel free to spread them on however you choose, but this is the order that my family prefers: beans, meat, salsa, guacamole, and then cheese.
  8. Pop your fries back into the oven until the cheese melts, about 10 minutes.
  9. Serve your fries hot and add a dollop of sour cream. Enjoy!
