Cinnamon Honey Baked Pears: A Healthy Family Treat

The Cinnamon Mom, stay at home mom blogger

We made baked pears today and they are officially my new favorite treat! I seriously just pulled together a few things we had in the kitchen and the end result was something warm, cozy, healthy, and easy. We’ll definitely be making this a lot more!

To make these baked pears, preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Cut your pears in half, scoop out the seeds, and pull off the stems.

I added texture by piling on chopped almonds and dried cranberries. Also, since pears are sweet, tart, and have a little grit, I sprinkled on cinnamon, ginger, and touch of salt to enhance their natural flavor. The drizzle of honey was purely indulgent. You can for sure adjust any of the ingredients or measurements depending on your palate.

Bake the pears in the oven for 30 minutes and try to resist the amazing smell wafting through your house! Our pears came out so soft and flavorful. The girls couldn’t stop reaching for bites and I didn’t feel the least bit guilty about it. I won’t be surprised if they ask to make them again tomorrow!
