Homemade Glass Cleaner Recipe

The Cinnamon Mom, stay at home mom blogger

Belly’s new hobby has been fogging up the mirror with her mouth and then drawing pictures with her fingers… Aren’t kids fun? Needless to say, I’ve been scrubbing a lot of mirrors and I thought it was an appropriate time to share my homemade glass cleaner recipe!

We’ve been transitioning to homemade cleaning products over the past couple of years because my skin and nose are really sensitive to harsh chemicals. This glass cleaner is effective and helps us cut down on toxins in our home while saving our family a little money on storebought products.
I just spray a mirror or window and rub it off with a clean microfiber cloth. The surface might still look streaky for a minute, but it dries completely clear and spotless. No more slobber stains or little fingerprints!

INGREDIENTS

  • 1/4 cup white vinegar
  • 1/4 cup rubbing alcohol
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 1/2 cups water

INSTRUCTIONS

Pour everything into a spray bottle and shake well to mix it up. Be sure to give it a quick shake before every use in case the ingredients have separated.

Thank you to Adrienne at Whole New Mom for this awesome recipe!

You can use any spray bottles you have in your home, but I found glass spray bottles on Amazon and they work terrific. I also recommend one of these handheld label makers to keep your products organized.

If you need a good DIY kitchen and bathroom cleaner, you should also try my homemade citrus cleaner! And for motivation to tidy your kitchen, check out this small cabinet declutter I recently shared!

Talk to you soon!
