I tried to think of a really clever title for this activity, but “Valentine’s Day Stamp Table” pretty much sums it up! All I did was tape a big piece of paper to the girls’ table, write on it with markers, and give them stamps to trace the letters and shapes. It’s another engaging way for Goose and Belle to learn. Just by stamping, they’re practicing letter formation, learning how to spell simple words, and improving their hand-eye coordination.
I found these cute little stamps at Dollar Tree, but I’ve seen similar ones at Target. They’re usually very cheap and sold seasonally so you can pick up a pack for every holiday. We’ll definitely be looking for more to be festive throughout the year.
Surprisingly, my kids were really focused and careful so our Valentine’s Day stamp table took more time than I expected. It’s also nice because it’s the type of thing that doesn’t have to be completed all at once. Your kids can start and stop anytime they want and you can even make it more detailed to last longer. And you don’t have to clean a stamp table up right away. You can leave it out for doodling or painting on. Let it hang it out for a while!
