The Cinnamon Mom, stay at home mom bloggerI can hardly believe it, but I have a three-year-old! How did this happen so fast? To celebrate, we took a trip down the street to The Happiest Place on Earth (Disney tips post to come). It was a blast and she was in absolute heaven! After we let some of that excitement die down, I sat her down and we had a little toddler interview.

  3. How old is Mommy? Uh, I don’t know.
  4. How old is Daddy? He’s 6! Oh and Mommy is 7. (We’re both 30)
  5. How old is your baby sister? She’s 8. (she’s 13 months)
  6. What is your favorite color? Purple! And red and pink.

  11. What is your favorite thing to eat? Spaghetti and meatballs. And green beans are my favorite! And pot pie!
  12. What is something you don’t like to eat? Pizza that is spicy. Spicy is not a good idea to eat.
  13. Where is your favorite place to go? To the zoo. And Disneyland!
  14. What is your favorite animal? A lion. Because they’re nice and quiet. And I just really like lions.
  15. What makes you sad? Climbing on the table. (Baby Sister’s new favorite hobby)
  16. What makes you happy? A song. Like lalalalalala!
  17. What is something you’re very good at? Something I’m good at is eating.
  18. What do you want to be when you grow up? A superhero! My power will be to catch butterflies!
  19. What is your favorite part of the day? The part when I go to the park.
  20. Do you have any questions for Mommy? Yes… My question is when do we go to dance class? (She had a dance performance and was very eager to go)

I could have easily kept going because I’m simply amazed by some of the things she says, but she was ready to go… So that was the end! My heart seriously cannot handle how quickly she’s growing and learning. She has surpassed every developmental expectation I had for three years and I’m so honored to be her mommy! Happy Birthday to my Silly Goose!

This was a fun way to commemorate her life at three and I’ll definitely try to do something similar each year to see how her preferences change. Download my free printable and you can have your own birthday interview with your kids each year!

    1. Thanks, Maranda! I hope that I remember to do this every year. I think it’ll be hilarious to read when she’s older!

    1. Thank you, sir! You should definitely interview your boys. I can’t wait to see how their responses change each year!

  1. I love this idea! How fun to do these each year to see what their answers are!! My oldest has said since she was 3 that she will be a vet when she grows up. At age 9 she stills says this. So how cool to see what things will still stick as the kids get older!

    1. Thanks, Kristi! It is really neat seeing how their ideas change (or stay the same) over time. That would be some incredible foresight and focus if your daughter decides to be a vet!

  2. What a cute idea! And I loved reading her answers – especially the one about having superpowers to catch butterflies! I hope she has a great birthday!
