It’s no secret that we love peanut butter! Our new favorite way to enjoy a healthy, tasty snack is cinnamon raisin peanut butter balls! So much yummy protein to keep our tummies full and happy, especially when we’re on the go!
My favorite part of making this recipe is that it’s kid-friendly! Belle is almost two and she’s in her “I want to help” phase and always runs into the kitchen the second she sees me open a cupboard. Peanut butter balls require zero heat or sharp objects so it’s completely safe for kids to lend a hand.
To make our cinnamon raisin peanut butter balls, all you need are peanut butter, oats, honey, cinnamon, and raisins. We pretty much always have these ingredients in our pantry so it’s no problem to whip them up when we’re in the mood. Everything just gets mixed together and scooped into balls. Using a small ice cream scoop helps with uniformity and cuts down on the mess.
My family loves when I make cinnamon raisin peanut butter balls! The honey and raisins give them just enough sweetness to make you feel like you’re having an oatmeal cookie. But these are actually full of lots of good fat and protein for stronger muscles and energy. We also use our homemade peanut butter so there’s no unnecessary sugar or salt.
Cinnamon raisin peanut butter balls are great any time of day! Have a few for breakfast, after school, post workout, or when you just want a healthy treat! We store ours in an airtight container, but we’re lucky if they last more than three days.
Other ingredients you could try are mini chocolate chips, shredded coconut, flaxseed, or protein powder. I also want to experiment with more dried fruits and different nut butters! Too many choices!
