Small Kitchen Cabinet Declutter

The Cinnamon Mom, stay at home mom blogger

I started the week with a little organization! This is the main area I use when I cook or bake and it was time for a kitchen cabinet declutter and tidy.

My husband cooks a couple of nights each week and my kids are becoming more independent in the kitchen so things get shifted around a little easier. Having a clean, organized space helps me to be more focused and productive when I’m cooking and a reset gets my kitchen back on track.

A few details about what’s in this cabinet:

  1. I got the black baskets from Dollar Tree in 2020. They might not carry these particular ones anymore, but you can find a nice selection of good-quality organization containers in-store and on their website.
  2. The glass jars were accumulated over time from Aldi pasta sauce and I painted the lids black to make them look more uniform. I used Rust-Oleum metallic spray paint in the color Black Night.
  3. The spice jars are a mix of old and new. I got a whole new set for Christmas, but I already had several store-bought jars that happened to match so I held on to those. This declutter was also a good time to part with expired spices. I bought the lazy Susan in 2020 and it has been such a practical way to utilize this space.
  4. And my trusty Dymo label maker was given to me a couple of years ago. I use it all over our house, but it’s especially helpful for keeping this area organized.

The “before” wasn’t the worst, but a quick kitchen cabinet declutter, tidy, and a spice update make this small area prettier and easier to use!
