7 Daily Healthy Habits of Happy Moms

I received Sambucol Black Elderberry Gummies for free from Moms Meet to use and post my honest opinions. Compensation for this post was provided and this page may contain affiliate links.

If there’s anything I’ve learned over the past six months, it’s the necessity of self-care. As a mom, it’s typical to spend all day worrying about everyone else, but the bottom line is that you have to take care of yourself before you can focus on your family.

Staying home more has allowed me plenty of time to evaluate my wellbeing and make the changes that I need for my mental and physical health. Together, these healthy habits have been helping me feel better and be a happier mommy!

Unplug

I love social media, but I believe that there can be too much of a good thing! Sometimes you just need to give your brain (and eyes) and break from the inundation of pictures and information. Be honest with yourself about whether or not your scrolling is serving a purpose and don’t hesitate to put your devices away if it isn’t.

Elderberry

One healthy habit that I started this Summer is taking elderberry each day. Elderberry extract is a natural way to strengthen your immune system. Our favorite supplement is Sambucol Black Elderberry Gummies! They taste sweet and fruity, but there’s no artificial flavors or colors and they each only have one gram of sugar!

Black elderberry extract is great because it has twice the natural antioxidant capacity of blueberries and more than 50% the overall antioxidant capability of cranberries! Sambucol gummies are also free from gluten, nuts, soy, dairy, and eggs so they’re a great option for vegetarians and vegans!

In addition to gummies, we have Sambucol Elderberry Immune Drink Powder that you can mix into water and Sambucol’s Original Syrup, which can be incorporated into recipes and drinks. They have even more products on their website to help protect your whole family all year long!

Stretch

When we think of exercise, cardio or strength training usually comes to mind. You can also care for your body by stretching. It’s one of the best ways to prevent injuries, gain flexibility, and relax your muscles!

Everything in Moderation

If you ask me, I will always say “eat the ice cream” or “order the fries”. Having a balanced diet includes satisfying your cravings and there’s no need to feel guilty about enjoying your food!

Drink Water

No list of healthy habits would be complete without a reminder to stay hydrated! I always have a glass of water within reach so that I can make sure that I’m drinking enough throughout the day.

A new way that I’ve been enjoying my water is with Sambucol Elderberry Immune Drink Powder! Once a day, just pour a packet into your water and give it a little stir. It’s delicious!

Have a Bedtime

Just like children, adults need a certain amount of rest for their bodies to function properly. If we want to feel energized and productive during the day, getting to bed at a decent time each night will make life so much easier.

Lots of Hugs

It doesn’t matter how stressed or frustrated I am, a hug instantly makes me feel better! I make sure to hug my family as much as possible during the day as a reminder of my love and to bring a smile to their faces!
