It’s my 31st birthday today! Happy Birthday to me! My husband is off work and we had plans to go to lunch, but then Belly feel asleep and now we’re just waiting for her to wake up…
So in the meantime, I’ve been reflecting on my life and thought it would be fun to share 31 random facts with you! In no particular order, here I go:
- I used to think that the calendar emoji was customized for each person’s phone, but it ALWAYS says my birthday! July 17th!
- I am mixed, Filipino and black.
- I was an AllStar cheerleader through middle and high school and got to perform at Disney World and London, England.
- Before I was a kindergarten teacher, I worked as an instructor and director at The Little Gym for 7 years.
- My husband and I met in college when we were 18 but did not start dating until we were 20.
- I am deathly afraid of heights.
- I am also deathly afraid of open bodies of water, like lakes and oceans.
- My one-year blogiversary is coming up next month.
- My favorite color is burgundy, followed closely by coral and gray.

- I hate movies and shows that are scary, violent, or too suspenseful.
- I know the lyrics to every Disney soundtrack from the 90s.
- I’ve worn glasses since the 4th grade.
- I have no idea how to properly apply makeup so I mostly just don’t wear it. This tinted moisturizer is my best friend.

- I lived in Florida for 10 years growing up.
- We got our cat, Nico, 5 years ago. He’s our rainbow baby.
- I developed Bells Palsy when I was 38 weeks pregnant with Goose. Half of my face was paralyzed for 6 months.
- I only drink water. Never ever coffee. Maybe tea, like, twice a month.
- When Goose eats raw bell peppers and tomatoes straight off the vine, I secretly gag, but I’m so proud that she loves healthy food.
- For my 23rd birthday, I had a “T Party” and all of my guests had to dress up in something that started with the letter T.
- We go back and forth between having another kid. Our family feels pretty complete, but my husband has always dreamed of having a son.

Happy birthday!!!
My boys are 22 months apart too and I also think it’s a great age gap. It was a little rough for me at first but they’re best buds now.
Thanks, Emma! There definitely was a rough point sometime around potty training, but I love seeing how they get along now.
Happy Birthday! This is such a fun idea, love getting to know the people behind the blog!
Thanks, Diana!
