With so many exciting sporting events throughout the year, we love getting together with friends to cheer on our favorite teams in playoff and championship games. As our families grow and more small children are being included in these gatherings, our focus has turned to making a super fun, family-friendly party where all ages can have an amazing time!
It can be tricky enjoying the game on TV with little ones in tow, but it’s totally doable! There are really only two things kids need to stay occupied: crafts and food. You don’t have to plan anything extravagant. Just give them something to do and something to eat and you’ll be (mostly) free to watch your team play!
Crafts
Young kids love creating things with their hands so every family-friendly party needs something they can make! I have templates for you to make your own super simple football noisemaker, basketball noisemaker, and megaphone. You can even customize your decorations for your favorite team. Your kids will have so much fun shaking up their noisemakers and shouting “GO TEAM!” into their megaphones.
Food
A major perk of big game get-togethers is eating extra yummy food. Frank’s RedHot wings are a perfect choice for a family-friendly party because kids always gobble them up!
You can find them in the frozen section of Walmart. Grab a few bags, take them home, and just pop your wings into the oven. Easy peasy!
Aside from being so convenient, Frank’s RedHot wings are also delicious. They come in three different flavors so there’s something to satisfy everyone’s taste buds. My husband likes the Buffalo wings with a little drizzle of Frank’s RedHot original sauce most while my daughters love the kickin’ BBQ.
Try all three flavors while you watch the big game: Original, Buffalo, and Kickin’ BBQ!
What team does your family like watching? Tell me in the comments!
And don’t forget to pick up some Frank’s RedHot wings for your next family-friendly sports party!
